NSW: Snow report for NSW snowfields, August 10

SYDNEY, Aug 10 AAP - Today's snow report for the NSW snowfields:

THREDBO - Snow cover: Firm and fast early, softening up quickly. Lifts: All expectedto operate. Best runs: Groomed runs the pick today, particularly World Cup for the advanced,the Basin and Merritts for intermediates and Friday Flats for beginners.

SELWYN - Snow cover: A firm-packed, well-groomed cover that will soften during theday. Lifts: Up to 11 lifts open. Best runs: Emu Chase, Pig's Gully and Home Run.

PERISHER - Snow cover: Firm cover, softening quickly. Lifts: 52 expected to open. Bestruns: The Hypertrail on Mount Perisher; Wood Ruin and Excelerator; the terrain parks atBlue Cow and Centre Valley.

CHARLOTTE PASS - Snow cover: 187cm; Lifts: All five lifts open. Best runs: Groomedruns the best today.
