NSW: Seige at Rene Rivkin s office
A man armed with a knife has held police at bay for more than three hours in millionaire
RENE RIVKIN'S Sydney offices.
Police say the man barricaded himself inside the offices on New South Head Road, Double
Bay, just before 2pm (AEST) and threatened to hurt himself.
But negotiators managed to convince the man to give himself up just before 5.30pm.
He's been taken to Prince of Wales Hospital for assessment, and is unlikely to be charged.
Police say the man had written to Mr RIVKIN two months ago seeking help for himself and his
mother.
About 20 members of staff as well as Mr RIVKIN'S son JORDAN were able to leave the building
without incident.
