Fed: Griffin to join Labor frontbench in consumer affairs role
Victorian MP ALAN GRIFFIN will be elevated to the federal opposition frontbench todayin the new portfolio of consumer protection and consumer health.
A Labor source says the party will attempt to make mileage with the new portfolio outof the government's failure to act on issues such as credit card and consumer debt, bankfees and protection of motorists by labelling and restricting ethanol levels in fuel.
